Schengen 90/180 — automatic tracking of vehicle stay
How many days have your vehicles spent in the Schengen zone? Almaks GPS now counts for you — for every vehicle, every day, without spreadsheets and manual entry.
The 90/180 rule also applies to vehicles
Vehicles registered outside the EU are allowed to stay in the Schengen zone for a maximum of 90 days within any 180-day period. Exceeding this limit can result in border detentions, fines, and unplanned fleet downtime — and the responsibility always falls on the carrier.
Until now, the only way was manual record-keeping: spreadsheets, vehicle passports, border crossings, and hoping that no mistake slipped through. For a fleet of ten or more vehicles, this is a daily time-consuming task — and one where an error costs dearly.
A system that counts for you
Schengen 90/180 is an upgrade to the Almaks GPS platform that automatically recognizes the days each vehicle spent in the Schengen zone — based on the GPS positions that the system already collects.
On a single screen, you see the entire fleet: days used, days remaining until the limit, and vehicles approaching the limit. No extra equipment, no modifications to the vehicles.
Three steps to complete control
Reading positions
The system uses the GPS positions that your vehicles are already sending through Almaks GPS tracking. There is no additional data entry or new equipment required.
Counting days in the zone
For each vehicle, the system recognizes the days spent in the Schengen zone and calculates usage according to the 90/180 rule — automatically, every day.
Warning before the limit
Vehicles approaching the limit are clearly marked, allowing you to plan routes and shifts on time — before the violation, not after.
What you get with Schengen 90/180

Used and remaining days for each vehicle, clear and always up to date.

Control tool, not legal advice
Schengen 90/180 is a tool for internal record-keeping and fleet planning based on GPS data. Official calculation of stay is performed by border authorities based on stamps and entry records — the system helps you ensure that the limit is never a surprise.
